Medical robotics is a core topic of CURAC and is addressed in the working group on medical robotics.
The main objective is to promote the exchange of experience and ideas between national research groups, clinicians and industry, as well as to contribute to better networking. In addition, the group is working on the emerging standardization of the medical robotic systems safety and is appointing members for both the national and international panels.
The thematic focus covers all aspects relevant to the development and use of medical robotic systems. Among others, the following topics are addressed in the working group:
The working group organizes workshops and tutorials at the CURAC Annual Meeting as well as at international conferences. The aim is also to initiate the exchange of working groups at the level of doctoral students and to promote the education of students on the topics of medical robot systems.
If you are interested in further information about the working group or would like to participate in our activities, you are welcome to contact Alexander Schlaefer directly.
