Goals

The CURAC working group coordinates the national work on the research fields of surgical process modeling and surgical workflows in Germany. The members of the working group are engaged in various research projects related to workflows, such as:

  • Data collection, workflow modeling, and situation recognition,
  • Technical and clinical workflow analyses, and
  • Workflow control and OR-automation.

The goal of the working group is the appropriation of a platform for the exchange of experiences and ideas between national research institutions.

Furthermore, the working group organizes annual workshops, which will be held at the annual CURAC convention. In addition, it supports the realization of tutorials during international conferences and acts as an agent for visiting lecturers to support the teaching in this field.

If you are interested in information concerning the CURAC working group or if you would like to participate, please do not hesitate to contact the group’s coordinator, Thomas Neumuth.
